Via ferrata Zobor in Nitra with an instructor - what will you experience?

Get ready for a mountain adventure in Nitra! The Via ferratas on Zobor are "iron paths" where you will overcome steep walls using steel ropes and bridges. The area was created in 2022 and thanks to the expansion in 2024 (Jelšová, Vtáčia and Pavúčia routes were added to the original Brezová and Dubová) it has become one of the most complex via ferrata locations in Slovakia.

The course includes:

• Group Via Ferrata course (for 1 or 2 people), which will provide you with the theoretical and practical parts, including demonstrations of techniques and belaying.
• Rental of complete Via Ferrata equipment (helmet, harness, energy absorber, chest harness, carabiners).
• Instructor: Certified mountaineering instructor SHS JAMES – rock climbing and Via Ferrata, with many years of experience
• Photo and video documentation from the course (link to download within 5 days).
• Duration: 3 - 4 hours (duration depends on the participants' performance and experience, as well as current conditions on the via ferrata)

The course is suitable for absolute beginners with average fitness (able to handle a 4-hour hiking ascent). The difficulty of the Via Ferrata is A/B – B/C (possibly D/E). The group consists of 5 to 7 people + an instructor.

About the instructors - We are certified rock climbing and mountaineering instructors with many years of experience working with adults, youth, and children. We focus on everything from organising climbing clubs, via ferrata courses, school trips, and Team Building, to individual climbing lessons on rocks, mountains, or indoor climbing walls. More than 7,000 happy customers have already participated in our Via Ferrata courses.

ATTENTION:

• Insurance is not included in the voucher price.
• In case of injury, the mountain rescue service does not intervene on the NITRA-ZOBOR via ferratas, but the firefighters do, so mountain insurance is not recommended by the operator of the NITRA via ferratas. Ultimately, it is up to the course participant to decide whether to arrange tourist insurance for potential mountain rescue intervention. (standard insurance approx. 1 – 4 € / day / person).
