Via ferrata Martinské Hole with an instructor

Via Ferrata Martinské Hole with an Instructor - What to Expect?

The HZS Ferrata at Martinské Hole is located in the Lučanská Malá Fatra, an area with a rich history – in the past, it was the only path to Martinské Hole, and partisans of Viliam Žingor operated here during the Slovak National Uprising (SNP). To this day, you can find artifacts from mining (tunnels, mining carts). The ferrata was opened in 2014 and is regularly maintained. In 2017, it was enhanced with two rope bridges (11 and 12 meters).

The course includes:

• Group Via Ferrata course (for 1 or 2 people), which will provide you with the theoretical and practical parts, including demonstrations of techniques and belaying.
• Rental of complete Via Ferrata equipment (helmet, harness, energy absorber, chest harness, carabiners).
• Instructor: Certified mountaineering instructor SHS JAMES – rock climbing and Via Ferrata, with many years of experience
• Photo and video documentation from the course (link to download within 5 days).
• Duration: 5-7 hours (duration depends on the performance and experience of the participants and the current conditions on the via ferrata)

The course is suitable for complete beginners with average fitness (being able to manage a 6-hour hiking ascent). The Via Ferrata difficulty is A – C. The group consists of 5 to 7 people + instructor.
