What Does the Cross-Country Skiing Course Offer?

Whether you are an amateur who wants to start cross-country skiing or a more experienced skier who wants to improve your technique, there is truly something for everyone. There are two course options to choose from. Group Cross-Country Skiing Course, where you will learn the basics of technique, complete stabilization exercises, and practice the theory in real conditions during 3 hours. The Individual Cross-Country Skiing Course is a more intensive one-hour course where the instructor focuses solely on you. It's also suitable for advanced skiers who have already mastered the basics and want to refine their technique or improve their fitness. Besides excellent fun and the joy of sports, you will enjoy a healthy stay in the fresh air and, above all, gain new experiences. To complete the cross-country skiing course, you must have your own equipment. The Cross-Country Skiing Course will be led by Štefan Oravec - a former Slovak national representative in cross-country skiing and a cross-country skiing enthusiast.

Štefan Oravec is a multiple Slovak Republic champion, a participant in the Junior World Championships and the U23 World Championships. He is an active member of the Slovak Ski Association and an accredited cross-country skiing coach. In previous winter seasons, he has already trained over 150 satisfied participants.

Group Cross-Country Skiing Course

The one-day course runs from 08:30 to 11:30 or from 12:30 to 15:30. During the group cross-country skiing course, the instructor will initially explain the basics of technique, equipment, the difference between classic and free technique, the basics of choosing skis, poles, boots, and waxing basics. You will experience waxing itself, dry-land practice, stabilization exercises on flat terrain, engaging legs, arms, and poles - all combined into one unit so that you can master the basics of individual skills, uphill climbing, and smooth downhill skiing.
The afternoon session includes reinforcing learned techniques, special balance exercises, group skiing on trails in the terrain, and applying technique changes with regard to the horizon. At the end, you will receive an evaluation of the course and be handed a certificate of participation (diplomas). The maximum number of people in the course is 6.

Individual cross-country skiing course

Important information about the cross-country skiing course:

	Sezóna/Počasie	The Cross-Country Skiing Course takes place in the winter months with suitable snow conditions. The shooting experience is not conducted in extremely adverse weather conditions. The group course takes place on pre-announced dates. The individual course can be arranged by agreement with the instructor.
	Podmienky	Rezerváciu je vhodné zrealizovať minimálne týždeň vopred. The experience can be completed at any time during the season, under suitable snow conditions.
