Beer Brewing Course in a microbrewery - what will you experience?

The goal of the beer brewing course is to teach people how to brew beer with a top-notch small home brewery. You will learn its operation, assembly, working with it, and its cleaning. And of course, together we will brew beer from basic ingredients (water, malt, and hops). It also includes lunch and unlimited consumption of homemade beer.

The course is intended for everyone who wants to simply and effectively brew beer at home, as well as for those who just want to learn more about its preparation, or spend a nice day in a small brewery.

How is Beer Brewing Course going in Kremnica?

The course consists of a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part includes specific brewing and fermentation procedures for individual types of beer and their requirements for ingredients and technology. In the practical part, we will brew beer together in a small home brewery.

Workshops & Courses is led by professional brewer Mr. Tomáš Harman, who has been involved in adult education for over 10 years and has been involved in beer production for a long time. Since 2008, he has managed a shop with a range of products for home beer production, has full qualifications in malting and brewing, and currently serves as a member of the examination board for state examinations in this field.

Course schedule:

9:00 AM – 12:00 PM Start of beer production, theoretical part

12:00 PM – 1:00 PM Lunch – grilling cheese on a French Raclette grill (included in the course price)

1:00 PM – 4:00 PM Beer brewing, discussion
Course content:

  • Beer brewing technology, knowledge of ingredients and how to obtain them
  • How to brew beer at home.
  • Beer brewing software
  • Temperatures for brewing, fermentation, lagering and their effect on beer characteristics
  • Calculating your own recipes using brewing software
  • We will brew approximately 50l of beer together in equipment that is top-of-the-line for home brewing
  • Bottling beer from a keg with counter-pressure
  • Kegging beer and its forced carbonation in a keg

The course price includes:

  • Your own training (9:00 AM – 4:00 PM)
  • Light refreshments, beer, lunch
  • Software (free version)
  • Notebook, pencil
  • Further consultations after the course

PodmienkyPodmienkyBeer Brewing Course is suitable for everyone over 18 years of age. The maximum number of participants in one course is 5. Rezerváciu je vhodné zrealizovať minimálne týždeň vopred. Brewing workshops & courses are held at least once a month, with dates available on both weekdays and weekends. If a closed group of at least 3 people is interested in the course, an individual date can be arranged.
