Basic Avalanche safety course – What to Expect?

During an intensive weekend, you will turn uncertainty into conscious preparation. You will gain solid foundations in avalanche prevention and crisis management: You will learn what reliable sources to use for assessing the avalanche situation and how to evaluate the acquired information directly in the field. You will familiarize yourself with the avalanche transceiver, practice its correct use in both transmitting and receiving signals, and master finding a buried person. The key part is training for quick and effective rescue, including precise location determination with a probe, efficient digging, basic first aid, and taking over rescue management in a critical situation.

This will primarily bring you peace of mind and the ability to responsibly enjoy freedom in the winter mountains, because you know you are prepared.

What does the Basic Avalanche safety course contain?

Program:

• Familiarization with the avalanche transceiver, its use (transmitting and receiving signals)
• Finding a buried person using an avalanche transceiver
• Using an avalanche probe for precise determination of the buried person's location
• Digging out a buried person, first aid, rescue management

Included in the course:

• Services of a certified international mountain guide UIMLA - instructor
• Mountain insurance for potential technical intervention by Mountain Rescue Service
• Souvenir photos from the activity in digital file format

Not included:

You need to arrange these yourself (for personalization), or we will gladly lend them to you:

• Rental of avalanche equipment (beacon, shovel, probe) - €10/day
• Rental of snowshoes + poles, or crampons - €5/item/day
• Accommodation and meals
• Transport and parking (possible use of car, cable car)

Important information about the ski alpine course for intermediates:

	Sezóna/Počasie	The experience can be completed on pre-determined dates during weekends, and by agreement, the course can also be completed on weekdays for a closed group of interested parties.. In the event of adverse weather, it is up to the provider (instructor) to decide and evaluate whether to move the reservation to a new date. Minimum number of participants 4, maximum 6 per mountain guide.
	Clothing	Dress functionally in three layers (no cotton), don't forget waterproof protection, warm gloves, and sturdy, high boots that will protect you from the snow.
	Podmienky	Adequate physical condition is required, also suitable for children from 16 years old accompanied by at least one parent. Booking is recommended at least 2 weeks in advance. Cancellation policy: Cancellation within 72 hours before the experience 0% cancellation fee, within 24 hours before the experience 50% cancellation fee, on the day of the experience 100% cancellation fee.
