A weekend full of art and experiences

What does the Weekend full of Art and Experiences offer?

Looking for an inspiring experience, space for yourself, and perhaps a new perspective on the world? Treat yourself to a weekend at the Center for Art Therapies in Svätý Jur – a place where creative energy flows between impressive arches and a cozy attic.

During the weekend, you will immerse yourself in three artistic directions – dance and movement, music, and visual arts. Under the sensitive guidance of three art therapists, you will discover your inner world through movement, sound, color, or story.

The experience of the creative process is important, curiosity and a willingness to experiment, not performance, evaluation, or skills. You don't need to know how to dance, play an instrument, draw, or paint. All you need is the desire to create and try something new.

How does the Weekend full of Art and Experiences proceed?

The weekend will kick off with a three-hour movement block. Forget choreography and yoga – the goal is a return to joy, playfulness, and spontaneity. Movement is guided with props (scarves, balls) and ends with dance improvisation. You don't need any dancing experience, every move you make is correct.

Saturday afternoon is dedicated to visual arts. You will work with dry and oil pastels and acrylic paints. On canvas (30x40 cm) you will paint your safe space, which you will take home with you. Templates will also be available if you don't feel up to your own motif.

Sunday morning will be in the spirit of music and sounds. After relaxing activities, you will choose an unusual musical instrument, by exploring which you will discover more about yourself. Even without musical experience, you will create a group jingle and discover the joy of improvisation.

What is the goal of the experiential weekend?

• active relaxation from stress and daily routine
• experience spontaneity, joy, something new
• opportunity to create, be creative
• opportunity to discover and express your deeper needs and feelings
• pleasant encounter with yourself and with others
