Tea Tasting with a Tea Sommelier – What to Expect?

During this guided tasting, you will pause time for a moment and immerse yourself in the fascinating world of Chinese teas. Sinologist Michal Butor will guide you through the traditional Gong Fu Cha method, which is not just about drinking the beverage, but about consciously perceiving details. Together, you will explore and compare rare teas from different corners of China – from light and floral to full-bodied, earthy, and flavor-intense pieces.

You will discover how the character of the tea changes with each subsequent infusion, and learn interesting facts about its origin and processing directly from an expert. The entire experience takes place in an intimate atmosphere around a shared table at the Teabar studio. Watching the precise preparation and sharing flavours with others is the complete opposite of today's rushed world, where we quickly stuff something into ourselves with no clear origin while holding a phone. At the Teabar studio, you will put away your screens and enjoy a proper reboot.

  • Expert Guidance: A guided tasting led by experienced sinologist and tea sommelier Michal Butor.
