Trip to two peaks - Končistá and Tupá with a guide and accommodation at Majláthova chata - what to expect?

After an early breakfast, a full day of challenging terrain awaits you, accompanied by a certified UIMLA professional. The goal is two prominent peaks – Tupá and Končistá (2,538 m a.s.l.), which dominates the southern ridge of the High Tatras.

Schedule and Start:

  • 06:00 – Breakfast by Popradské pleso.
  • 06:30 – Meet your guide directly at Majláthova chata.

Ascent Route:

  • Ascent to Sedlo pod Ostrvou with a view of the tarn deep below you.
  • Continuation to Tupá (2,282 m a.s.l.).
  • Traverse the ridge via Lúčne sedlo.
  • Final ascent to Končistá (2,538 m a.s.l.) – one of the best viewpoints in the southern part of the Tatras.
  • Well-deserved rest at the summit with a panorama of Gerlachovský štít, Kriváň, and both sub-Tatra basins.

Descent:

  • Return via Lúčne sedlo and the summit of Tupá.
  • Short stop at Sedlo pod Ostrvou.
  • Return to Majláthova chata in the afternoon.

Good to know: After the descent, we recommend regenerating in the wellness area at the Horsky Hotel Popradské pleso. The view of the peaks from the whirlpool after such an effort tastes completely different.

What the trip to Končistá and Tupá with a guide and accommodation at Majláthova chata includes:

  • Accommodation: Directly in the heart of the Tatras at Majláthova chata (depending on the number of nights chosen).
  • Meals: Rich breakfast throughout your stay.

In case of cancellation of a reservation with arrival between June 1, 2026, and October 31, 2026:

  • 0% of the price from the day of booking confirmation up to 14 days before arrival
  • 50% of the price of ordered and confirmed services 13 – 8 days before arrival
  • 100% of the price of ordered and confirmed services 7 days or less before the day of arrival
