Trial Hot Air Balloon Piloting - What to Expect?

Unpack the balloon, start the fan, fill the balloon with air, heat it up, prepare the basket, check the fuel, altimeter, wind direction and strength, load passengers, and check everything again. Even though the wind controls the speed and direction of flight, the pilot is responsible for everything else, from choosing the take-off location and time to packing the huge balloon.

During a few hours, you will have the opportunity to try out the "dances" that are an integral part of balloon flying. Together with an experienced pilot, you will unpack the balloon, inflate it, heat the air, and prepare the balloon for flight. After completing the preparations, you will heat it up and watch as several thousand cubic meters of warm air lift you above the landscape. Then, you will enjoy divine silence, occasionally interrupted by the roar of the burners and conversations about the joys and pitfalls of balloon flying. After spotting a safe landing spot, you will stop heating and leave your fate to nature and the laws of physics.

Throughout the entire flight, a certified pilot will be available to ensure a smooth and safe flight. Your task will be to occasionally heat up and lend a hand in preparing the balloon before the flight and packing it after the flight.

The trip itself begins with careful planning. Book your date 1 – 2 weeks in advance to avoid unnecessary inconveniences.

Where will the balloon take off from?

The launch of the balloon depends on the current wind direction. The pilot decides on the specific take-off location. For safety reasons, you will gladly adapt to him.

How long does a balloon flight take?

Preparation of the balloon and launch will take approx. 30-60 minutes. The balloon flight itself will be enjoyed for approximately 90 minutes. The landing location also affects the flight time. After landing, plan on packing the balloon and transporting it back. In total, you can spend 3-4 hours with the balloon on the ground and in the air. And with the subsequent processing of this experience, much more.

Adults - every adult person has the opportunity to enjoy this pleasure without any medical examination. Of course, if you have an insurmountable panic fear of heights, you should consider your experience in a balloon basket.
Children - are welcome accompanied by at least one adult.

What to take on a balloon flight?

A partner, a camera or camcorder and a good mood. Making phone calls during the flight is permitted, but we do not recommend making work calls. They might envy you. :o)
